Go for it big man. That shower of useless numptie councillors in the council need bulldosed right on their arses with some decent folk with principles to represent the people and no themselves. Shower of tossers if you ask me.
Renfrewshire Council as an office of the Government albeit Local Government have to comply with the laws of the land, we all do. To aid the Officials and Elected Members the Council has a legal duty to create Policies in accordance with the law. From the Policies created Standard Procedures are drawn up must be complied with by, Officers of the Council. The Council has a legal duty to make available to the public every bit of information regarding Policy and procedural rules. I have requested numerous times Policy information and standard procedures and found the Council to be obstructive to my efforts to obtain the most basic of information. I spent One year asking for the Councils Formal Complaints Policy and I have the correspondence to prove this claim. Amazingly by chance a member of the public I had spoken to had obtained a copy and kindly supplied me with the Policy. After explaining this good fortune to a Senior Legal Officer of the Council a copy turned up in my post box a few days later, just when I no longer required it. I imagine I will be very unpopular with certain Officials of the Council, I may also be seen as a danger to certain unworthy Councillors, however my concern if elected, will be to represent the Constituents in the Ward of Paisley South. It is time for honesty and integrity in politics and most importantly a councilor who will keep his election pledges. Renfrewshire Council will have to change if I am elected; I won’t cover up for them. I believe a Councillors job is to represent the Constituents in their ward first, and the Council second not the other way around.
